The One with the Earring Tragedy

Remember the time I almost lost my diamond earrings?
And I almost had a panic attack?
But then I found it right away in the sheets?
This morning was deja-vu. Only worse.
Because I still haven't found them.
Kevin and I have scoured our bedroom.
Looked in every nook and cranny.
Opened the sink drain trap.
Discovered the grossness that lies in our air vents and the edges of the carpet.
And still no earring.
We woke up at 5:15.
I got out of bed at 5:23 for our run.
I told you, if he's going to run with me, I'll get up at ridiculous hours to make him happy.
I got dressed.
Went into the bathroom and at some point realized my diamond stud* was missing.
Again.
I found the earring's back in my bed.
I wouldn't mind losing that part.
But noooo.
I had to lose the valuable, meaningful part.
Please, earring, come back to me!
Pwetty pwease.
With a cherry on top?

*The diamond studs are these gorgeous earrings Kevin bought me for our first married Christmas. I think the diamond is even better quality than my wedding ring. :)

In other news our run was awesome.
There's something exciting about being awake before most people.
Being out before the sun rises.
Before the Y even opens (on Sunday at least...)
It was brisk.
Freezing actually.
And the park was completely (but not surprisingly deserted).
I was so impressed with my man.
I tried to push him.
With the tools I've learned from Jillian Michaels.
Except I'm nice about it.

Speaking of Jill, Biggest Loser finale is this Tuesday!
I'm crazy excited!

It was pretty awesome being back from running by 7am.
Thirty minutes sooner than I usually wake up on Sundays.
I had time for some pilates.
And time to bake bread.
And fix breakfast.
And scour the bedroom for that stupid earring.

  1. I'm sorry to hear about the lost earring. :( If you found the back in your bed, that's a good sign, right?? Here's hoping you find it soon!
